Clarke Gittens Farmer ("CGF") was formed on April 15, 2002 when Clarke & Co., which was founded in 1976 combined its practice with the practices of Messrs. T. David Gittens and Stephen W. Farmer, formerly partners in the firm of Evelyn, Gittens & Farmer. CGF is one of the principal law firms in Barbados with 27 full-time lawyers admitted to practice in Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).  Sir Henry deB. Forde K.A. Q.C. and Gittens Clyde Turney Q.C. are Consultants to the firm. 

CGF is a commercial law firm, providing legal services for both domestic and international corporate and private clients.  It has developed a reputation for high quality work in banking, corporate, commercial and business law areas. Corporate and commercial services include advising international and local clients in banking and financial transactions, securities law and insolvency issues. CGF advises on corporate mergers, acquisitions and take-overs, engages in civil and commercial litigation, advises in the area of construction law and practice and provides domestic and international clients with advice on the purchase and sale of residential and commercial property in Barbados. CGF has a significant trademark and patent registration practice and also advises in connection with the establishment of international business companies, international societies with restricted liability, exempt and qualifying insurance companies and contractual arrangements in the international financial services sector.
